Remembering ECA Board Chairman
Dr. Sterling L. Cauble
Dr. Sterling L. Cauble
It is with a sense of loss, but also of celebration for his life and legacy, that I announce the February 14, 2021, homegoing of Dr. Sterling L. Cauble, in his 88th year. For the benefit of those who have more recently become members of the ECA and may not have been acquainted with him, Dr. Cauble, born in Toronto, Ontario, founded Sunman Bible Church, Sunman, Indiana, retiring from his pastorate there in 2009 after 32 years of service as a humble servant and committed shepherd. An ordained member of the ECA since 1960, Brother Cauble sat on its Board of Directors from 1965 until 2005, having served 22 years of that tenure as Chairman of the Board. A seasoned conference speaker and devotional leader, he authored two books, Faith Wins! and Touch Power!, and wrote a weekly newspaper column entitled, “God’s Way”. For a glimpse into his personal life, whenever anyone would ask Dr. Cauble how he was doing, he would always respond, “Rejoicing!” Indeed, he is now rejoicing in the presence of His Savior. “Blessed in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints” (Ps. 116:15).
Please remember our brother's wife, Norma, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in your prayers. To view the funeral arrangements and obituary for Dr. Cauble, click here.

Assumptions Institute, the Ministry of the ECA's Rev. David Richardson, Provides Vital Tools to Challenge Presuppositions of Contemporary Culture
President & CEO
Acclaimed by noted Christians like James Dobson and Eric Metaxas, Dave Richardson’s innovative ministry equips adults and students with a useful discernment skill that is so simple it’s a phone app. Dave enables people to tell whether the messages in academia, media, and culture are true in just 30 seconds using the ground-breaking power of assumptions. Understanding assumptions helps adults to align their public lives with God in practical ways turning their work, leadership, and expertise into their ministry. Dave is available for speaking, consulting, and various seminars for students, professionals, teachers and professors, and other leaders who want to be effective ambassadors for Christ.
