Welcome to the ECA Blog
A number of our members have suggested a place to blog. Well here it
is. As with our entire website, it is a work in progress so let us
know here or by email at: admin@ecainternational.org if you have any
suggestions.
Members may post your remarks here
We would be interested in learning more about our member's thoughts regarding our conferences, the website, member services or what's on your mind.

What is not on the ECA website
One of the things that drew me to the ECA was the ecumenical element within the evangelical community. I remember reading a brochure that was supportive and respectful of our evangelical diversity. It’s what I brag on most as a member. Any chance that info could have a page in the ‘about us’ section?

Thanks for your suggestion Steve. I'm not sure what you have in mind that we don't already have on the information page. Would you please be more specific? Thanks

I check in at the ECA website fairly regularly. I am always amazed at how respectful the organization is to our members. As an ECA ordained pastor, ministering in a federated church born of the UMC and UCC, I frequently find myself tugged at from differing church practices. We hold to the truth of Biblical Doctrines which perfectly align with the ECA and feel our greatest affirmations from the ECA. When in the cadidating process, I was asked if I tithe regularly. My answer was - yes! Why would a pastor ask any to tithe and not lead the way. This brings me to a major point in writing. The CA never asks for tithing and very gently offers opportunities for donations beyond dues. Over a year ago, I felt like God was telling me to include ECA among the recipients of my monthly tithing. I simply believe that some suggestive manner of including that suggestion and specific means could possibly be published regularly in The Evangel.

I love the local meetings in Virginia Beach hosted by Rev., Dr. Joe Delong. I find it a sacred special time where we can encourage and be encouraged by our peers. The ECA has been there for me during difficult times. Praise God for the ECA!!!

I want to encourage everyone
to go to an ECA conference.
The fellowship is great, and
you get a chance to meet other ECA members. We have an outstanding organization
that cares a lot for it's
members. Lets get out and show our support for the ECA.
